How to Set Up Skyprint

When you receive your Skyprint:

The device connects to your network to communicate with Profrakt’s API, enabling printing of shipping labels via the internet and integrations.

Step‑by‑Step Setup Instructions

1. Prepare and set up the printer:

• Unpack the printer and connect the power cable following the user manual.

• Remove any protective tape.

• Load the label roll: insert it into the track, pull a label just past the opening, and close the cover.

2. Power on and prepare for printing:

• Turn on the printer using the front-panel power button.

• Press the middle feed button to advance the label so it’s correctly aligned for printing.

• 

3. Connect to your network:

• Use the supplied yellow network (Ethernet) cable and plug it into an active network port.

• When properly connected, both left and right network lights will glow green. 

• 

4. Using without a computer:

• The printer communicates directly with Profrakt’s API over the internet.

• No computer is needed if you're only using Profrakt’s portal or verified integrations.

5. Register the printer in Profrakt portal:

1. Log in to your account at profrakt.no.

2. Navigate to Settings → Profrakt Skyprint.

3. Click “+ Add” to register a new printer.

4. Enter the printer’s serial number, printed on the underside or the box.

5. Click “Print verification code”. The printer will output a label with a 6-digit code; enter this code on screen.

6. Assign your printer a name (e.g. “Office Oslo”, “Warehouse West”). You can rename it later.

7. Once saved, the printer is fully configured and ready for use—both via manual order entry on profrakt.no and automatic integrations.

⚙️ If You Only Have a Wi‑Fi Network

Should you only have wireless internet available, it's recommended to use a range extender with an Ethernet port. You connect the Skyprint via cable to the extender, which then links wirelessly to your network. These devices are common in electronics stores and typically cost a few hundred NOK.
